Perfectly wonderful!
We, as a family of five, had a marvellous week at Aberporth.
A beautiful furnished house with a view to the sea and a lovely garden to have
breakfast in the morning sun or a glass of wine enjoying sunset. Everything was
clean, the kitchen is well equipped for a big family. Aberporth is a nice place
to enjoy bathing at a small beach. The coast in the area is beautiful to walk
and offers lots of surprising views. Thanks for your hospitality! Thomas R 03 Aug 2024 (VRBO)
Lovely stay
Excellent property with full amenities. Very clean and
spacious. Short walk to the beach and pub. Beautiful garden to soak up the sun.
Lots of lovely hot water for showers. Jackie P 01 June 2024 (VRBO)
Well worth the visit.
Well appointed and well equipped, we found this house to have everything a family could require for a holiday by the sea. With views from the lounge across Cardigan bay as far as the hills of North Wales, be sure to bring your binoculars to watch the dolphins swimming in the bay. We booked quite late but received excellent service with regard communication, keys, etc. As we only had one week and good weather we spent most of the time on the family friendly beach, however should one wish to explore further, Aberporth is the perfect base for days out both north and south around the beautiful Welsh coastline. A view of the sea you could never be tired of
Well situated and well equipped. Quiet and close to the sea . Beach is lovely. Loads of great beaches in the area. Munt is our favourite. Cardigan is a short run if theres rain with good shops and a cinema. FarAway67701812383 27 July 2024 (Trip Advisor)
Great location, a happy relaxed stay.
We had a very relaxed holiday staying in the house, it is comfortable and spacious with ever changing views of the sea, coastline and sky. Lovely beach at Aberporth. The weather was a bit mixed (it was for the whole of UK) but we enjoyed exploring. We learned a bit about Welsh history during our visit to Cardigan castle and at the nearby ruins of St. Dogmaels abbey. We visited a nature reserve by the river Teiffi and in the Preseli Hills a stone circle in a beautiful setting and also saw dolphins in the harbour at New Quay. The owner was very helpful. For families there is lots of play equipment for children including games and jigsaw puzzles. Pamela M 20 July 2024 (Trip Advisor)
Great property with a wonderful view of the sea
Great house, fantastic views and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Lovely sheltered and private back garden to relax in. ah2016490 23 June 2024 (Trip Advisor)

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Tir a Mor in Aberporth. Spacious inside and out and caters for everything you could possibly need on a self catering holiday. Excellent communication from Joy the owner. Thank you so much on behalf of my family. (Christine B, July 2022)
Very comfortable, well-equipped and clean. Fabulous sea view from the sitting room and nice garden. Good base for exploring – we visited Cardigan, Llangrannog and Newquay. Our favourite beach was the one in Aberporth though. Also enjoyed relaxing in the back garden, which is a suntrap in the afternoon/early evening. We’ll be back! (Matt P, June 2022)
A very well equipped and spacious house in a great location. The house is beautifully furnished and very comfortable with the added bonus of sea views from the kitchen and upstairs lounge. Just a 10 minute walk into Aberporth and the Wales coast path, we found this to be the ideal holiday home. (Alastair J, June 2022)
Joy was very helpful and the facilities were excellent. Close to the sea and amenities of Aberporth, Cardigan only 10 minutes away. So handy for visiting other beaches and visiting one of our favourite places Aberaeron. (Susan T, May 2022)
Lovely property with all the amenities for a self-catering holiday and having 3 bathrooms certainly helped! Made more amazing with the fantastic sea view and well maintained garden which was great for relaxing in after enjoying one of the many coastal walks. Its in a great location; only 10 min walk down to the lovely village of Aberporth and great for touring to see other parts of West Wales. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend. (James W, April 2022)
House was just stunning! Excellent communication with Joy, the owner. House is in a quiet cul-de-sac within a 10 minute walk to the sea. Everything in the house was tastefully decorated to a high standard. The lounge had a magnificent view over towards the sea, massive t.v and super comfy sofas. Extremely clean and tidy, loved the stain glass windows. Cleanliness was superb. Beds were lovely and comfortable and rooms were decorated very tastefully. A fantastic stay, would return. A hot tub would be an excellent investment. (Kathleen A, April 2022)

We have just finished a fabulous week in this gorgeous house. The house is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need for your holiday. Having 3 bathrooms was a massive plus point for us as 3 individuals. The view from the upstairs window is stunning. Being able to use Netflix etc is also a plus for us. The information sent out by the owner is excellent and includes lots of recommendations of places to eat (a lot of which we tried) communication prior and during our stay has been excellent. The outside is really well kept and the garden is a real sun trap. We would definitely recommend staying at this property. (Carole W, Sep 2021)
Amazing property, bright, airy and so relaxing. The views are beautiful overlooking Aberporth and the sea. Communication with the owners throughout was straight forward and contained all the information that was needed. The house was spotless when we arrived, and I mean spotless. All possible needs were catered for with an excellently stocked and appointed kitchen. There is not a better place to explore Cerdigion from. Thank you. (Gareth M, June 2021)
We really enjoyed our stay at Tir a Mor. A perfect home away from home. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you need. The views from property are beautiful especially from the kitchen on the ground floor and from the Lounge on the first floor. Also it provides easy access to visit south and west Wales. It is very close to Aberporth beach which is a lovely beach. The coastal walk from Aberporth beach to Tresaith beach is amazing too and treat to the eye. Also the owners of the property Joy and her husband made us feel very welcome and were always prompt to respond to any queries at any time of the day. Once when we had a small problem in the heating, they were very prompt to resolve this. Our only suggestion – We drive an electric car and hence found that charging facilities in that part of Wales were not reliable. Hence a home EV charging facility would be an added attraction for the future. Equally we would love to come back here for another holiday. (Seema D, April 2021) **Owner response: We have now installed an EV charger at the property

We stayed here for 5 nights mid September.
The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped, the only drawback is also one of its greatest features. The view from the kitchen and especially the upstairs lounge is truly exceptional.
Unfortunately this means that the house is located at the top of a hill , which added to a bit of a bendy road ( there is a short cut which cuts some bends out) it is a steep walk back from the Pub
Location 5* when you are there, 2* when walking back! Aberporth is a smallish village but has 2 pubs and a shop, great beaches and is a good base to explore south central Wales
Kitchen 5* Well equipped
Lounge 5 * great view, good selection of DVDs TV etc
Beds 5* good & Comfy
Bathrooms 5* Good strong showers
Garden area 5* A natural sun trap
Owner 5* Good Communication, left a Covid friendly pack
Would I come again – Yes (Robert M, Sep 2020
This is a lovely detached house with every comfort provided. Downstairs is roomy and comfortable with a large kitchen diner, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped and has plenty of food storage space. There is ample seating outside with well tended gardens to enjoy. The back of the house is a sun trap and is not overlooked.
Upstairs is special. The large bedroom is light and airy with two skylight windows. It has its own bathroom next door but the star of the house is the sitting room with its large picture window overlooking the village and the sea beyond. There is a good TV package and we enjoyed using Chromecast synchronised with our own devices.
There are lovely walks nearby – the coastal path is 15 minutes away and the friendly local beach only 10 minutes. Aberporth itself is picturesque and has a shop, pubs with food, ice cream and takeaway. We spent a happy week there and would love to return.
Joy was a pleasure to deal with and provided very helpful local advice and recommendations. (Jo P, Sep 2020)
A lovely large house. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Stunning views. Walking distance to beautiful sandy beach and The Ship Inn. (Robert P, Sep 2020)
This house is simply lovely, spotlessly clean and very well planned out. Plenty of space, lots of towels, and loads of crockery! The rooms are all large with very comfortable furniture, lots of storage space in bedrooms and nice sized bathrooms. The views from the lounge and kitchen across the bay are stunning. We didn’t brave the walk to the beach (the hill is steep and long and we’re lazy!), but there are 2 car parks at aberporth beach and we managed to park with no issues every time we went. We booked and ate at The Ship Inn, which overlooks Aberporth beach – very nice. Also recommend a trip to New Quay for a large beach (but quite busy) and boat trips, Gwbert at low tide for crabbing from the pontoon and for sunset watching, and Cardigan Island Coastal Farm for seal spotting. Looking forward to coming back again another year. (Vicky W, Aug 2020)
A very clean and spacious house, beautifully furnished and equipped. Ideal for a family group. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view and sunny seating areas in the garden. Easy walking distance to lovely clean beach. Look forward to staying again. (Julia B, Aug 2020)

One review I read before booking was, ‘the photos do not do proper justice to the property ‘, I thoroughly agree.
Internally it was so spacious, so clean, everything that you needed. Outside was a little sun trap, quiet and relaxing.
Views overlooking the bay were breathtaking. My husband and I did a lot of walking, the coastal path so easy to follow. Two friends joined us for a couple of nights and we drove a bit further a field, more of the same, places with amazing views, friendly locals.
We ate at The Ship Inn at Aberporth, amazing food, would give it 5stars.
Do not hesitate booking, if you want relaxing, stress free, this is the place for you. (Ann B, Sep 2019)
My wife and I and our four children had a lovely holiday in Aberporth. The self catering accommodation was truly outstanding; hats off to the owners for providing everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. (Jack H, Aug 2019)
Tir a Mor is a great place for a holiday on the Welsh coast. Accommodation was immaculate on arrival, it has great views from the kitchen and upstairs lounge and features everything a family on holiday could need. Quick 10 minute walk to the beach (uphill on the way back) but was fine for us. As others have said, we’d highly recommend food at the ‘The Ship Inn’ down the road in Aberporth. We also enjoyed trips to Cardigan and New Quay… The Bluebell Deli & Bistro at New Quay was also one of our favourites for food out. Aberporth itself is very nice, with an excellent beach, that splits into two at high tide. Joy is also very helpful, friendly and easy to get hold of. Big thumbs up for Tir a Mor! (Elaine W, June 2019)
Highly recommend this house, very clean, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Communication with the owner is effortless and she is happy to answer any questions you might have. Good location for exploring the area, Aberporth is a small village with a lovely sandy beach, we were very lucky to see Dolphins all along the coast including in Aberporth bay. (Jennifer S, May 2019)
We stayed for a week in this beautiful house. As many other reviewers have commented, the photos on this site really don’t do the house justice! It is light and airy and very spacious. The facilities are top notch and Joy has thought about everything you could possibly desire!
The views from both the kitchen and lounge area are outstanding and the telescope is a lovely added touch.
I had an issue with the boiler (which was totally my fault) and Joy still answered the phone just before midnight and talked me through how to rectify my error! Such a wonderful, pleasant owner to deal with. Thank you for an amazing stay!!
FYI, anyone with kids must go to the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm! We spent a wonderful morning there and saw nine seals in their natural habitat! (Cara B, April 2019)

“This property caters for everyone ..and every need. It is modern, relaxing, beautifully decorated and faultless.I stayed here with my husband and elderly parents, the local beach is wonderful-the best I have ever visited, peaceful, safe and ideal for every age group. As a base to visit the Ceredigion and surrounding area Tir a Mor is the finest, I would chose this property every time. Cardigan, Newquay, Pembryn, Fishguard , Tenby, Carmarthen, The National Botanical Gardens of Wales, the Cliff Hotel at Gwbert and sailing all within easy reach. Our favourite was the beautiful evening strolls along the coastal path above the bay at Aberporth as the Sun set..The owner deserves a great deal of credit as this property is simply outstanding.” (Ann C, Jun 2018)
“Description doesn’t do it justice and Mrs Davies is so helpful the area is amazing and the young ones 4 and 6 loved the beach so clean, will definitely be back the view from lounge alone is worth going back on it’s own.” (Stephen D, May 2018)

“Well, Nick and I are back home after a wonderful week’s stay once again in your lovely house. We were so lucky with the weather, and had some great days out at various beaches and walking along the coastal paths. We had some sightings of dolphins again, at Tresaith, Llangrannog and Ynys Lochtyn, and seals at Dinas Head, we never tire of seeing them. Our friends enjoyed their 2 days and nights as well, all too brief a stay for them.2 (Claire & Nick Neale-Brown, Cheltenham, Sep 2015)
